Shop small. Give big.
You’re probably not a stranger to the “shop local” movement that is sweeping society, but did you know all these great shops were right in your back yard? By shopping small and local rather than at the bigger chains this season, you are not only giving great gifts to family and friends; you are also giving back to your community and the local economy. We've included 100 great "stops" to shop locally for gifts, including antiques, farm to table, handmade crafts, fine art, fashion, vintage and any other type of gift you can think of. All of the shops on our list are locally or regionally owned and operated, and at many you can also find locally sourced or handmade goods. This guide is currently only for East Tennessee, but we encourage our partners in other areas around the state to contact us if interested in creating something similar for your area. We also welcome feedback and hope you will email us or tell us on Facebook about your favorite place to shop local. We hope you'll use this guide as a starting point when choosing where to do your holiday shopping this year because when you shop small, you give big.
Don’t forget: The day after Black Friday is Shop Small Saturday!.
